A few weeks ago, Doja Cat was canceled on social media after allegedly being in racist chat rooms along with similar people on Tinychat. A 2015 song also leaked titled “Dindu Nuffin” as that title is a term used to mock police brutality victims. She claimed that she tried to claim that word as her own but admitted that failed horribly. Doja was also seen stripping in the Tinychat calls.

Now, Doja is trying to keep her star status by finally speaking on the ongoing injustices in America such as racism and police brutality. She put out a few George Floyd petitions last week on Twitter and then went ghost. Three days ago, she posted a video of nine-year-old Zianna Oliphant speaking on racism.

Doja also shouted out Breonna Taylor on her birthday on Instagram. (June 5) Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville police on March 13 as they illegally entered her home as they were in the wrong suspected home. The suspects they were looking for in a drug case had already been in custody. Doja  announced that she donated $100,000 to the Justice For Breonna Taylor Fund. She then went on to encourage others to donate in any way they can to this or any other organization. Taylor would’ve been 27.

Before the chat room drama, Doja received her first No.1  song with her “Say So” remix feat. Nicki Minaj It’ll be interesting to see if fans forgive Doja after this gesture. She is definitely trying to win people back in trying to show that she is concerned about the racial injustices in our country. Check out the announcement below.
