Tekashi 6ix9ine Pushes Back Release Date of New Music Video For “Trollz” Single To June 12 Due To Respect For Police Brutality Victims

Tekashi 6ix9ine was supposed to release his new “Trollz” single tonight at midnight. The Brooklyn rapper has decided to delay this release yet again though due to the ongoing issues in our country regarding murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and more.

In addition to Trollz’s release, the music video for it was supposed to be out at the same time. This comes after the success of 6ix9ine’s “Gooba” single which was released last month. The music video was released on the same day and it has now reached over 284 million views. The video was taken down briefly earlier this week though because he illegally sampled a beat from Kenyan producer, Magix Enga.

6ix9ine also revealed earlier this week that he started releasing his sophomore album. In November of 2018, he released his debut album, ‘Dummy Boy,’ which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. This came after 6ix9ine was originally taken into federal custody due to racketeering charges and other illegal activity he committed with the Nine Trey Bloods. He was sentenced to two years in prison in December of 2019 but was given credit for time served. He was able to get out of prison and get put on house arrest in April though due to coronavirus concerns. He will officially be free in August.

6ix9ine recently said that he can’t speak on the ongoing injustices in our country such as racism and police brutality though due to him still having an ankle monitor. That was a very weak excuse but at least he is now acknowledging how serious these issues are.
