With everything going on, it’s easy to forget that THIS movement is about the death of George Floyd, a man murdered by the Minneapolis police. Since then, James Scurlock was murdered in Omaha, by a bar owner. The insensitivity of some shows how far America has to come.

It’s one thing for business owners to make insensitive remarks, but totally another, when law enforcement does it. After all, the current string of protests began, due to police officers murdering an innocent man. Like most other cases, the innocent man happened to be black.

Tommy McClay represents Denver, Colorado, as a member of their police force. Officially, he is to protect and serve, but he’s on Instagram with a cruel joke. Posting the above photo, with two fellow officers, his caption reads “let’s start a riot,” seemingly making light of what’s going on, around the nation.
