Drake released his new project, his ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes‘ mixtape earlier this month. This featured the hit single “Toosie Slide,” which was No. 1 in the country along with “Chicago Freestyle” featuring Giveon and “When To Say When.”

Dark Lane Demo Tapes also created other hits for Drake such as “Pain 1993” feat. Playboi Carti and “Demons” feat. Fivio Foreign and Sosa Geek. The mixtape almost reached No. 1 in the country but was beat out by Kenny Chesney’s ‘Here And Now.‘ This snapped Drake’s consecutive No. 1 album streak that started back in 2010 with his debut album, ‘Thank Me Later.’

Dark Lane Demo Tapes is still one of the hottest projects of 2020 as it has now been certified gold by the RIAA, according to Chart Data. This is after reaching the 500,000 units mark in the United States. While this project continues to keep its momentum strong, fans can also expect Drake to release his sixth studio album this summer as well as he made the announcement when he revealed the Dark Lane Demo Tapes release date.
