On April 24, NBA Youngboy released the sequel to his 2016 ’38 Baby’ mixtape. This project contains 17 tracks with features from DaBaby on “Thug Of Spades” along with his mother speaking on the intro, “Bout My Business.” Many fans of the 20-year-old Baton Rouge rapper approved of this album as he continues to put out hot content since last fall.

38 Baby 2 continues to win big as according to Billboard, it has now debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This is after selling 67,000 equivalent album units. This is a surprise considering that his ‘AI Youngboy 2‘ album from November debuted at No. 1 with 110,000.

DaBaby followed up at No. 2 with his ‘Blame It On Baby‘ album as he was just at the top spot last week. In February, Youngboy’s ‘Still Flexin Still Steppin’ mixtape debuted at the No. 2 spot on the chart as well.

Youngboy has been making headlines since early April outside of music as well. His girlfriend, Iyanna aka Yaya Mayweather, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after stabbing his baby mama, LaPattra Jacobs, at his Houston home. She is the daughter of boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather. Yaya faces 99 years in prison for this case and has since hired J. Prince’s attorney, Kurt Schaffer. Yaya is pleading not guilty as her next court date will be in August. Yaya has also since been ordered to stay away from Jacobs as well, according to The Blast.
