Megan Thee Stallion has continued to build a lot of momentum from her breakout 2019. She kicked 2020 off by releasing her “B.I.T.C.H.” single in January which samples 2Pac’s “Ratha Be Ya N*gga” record from 1996. She then released her ‘Suga‘ EP last month after a long legal battle with 1501 Certified Entertainment as founder Carl Crawford, tried to prevent her from releasing new music. Megan explained how when she initially signed with the Houston-based record label when she was 20, she didn’t understand some of the terminology in the contract.
The biggest song to come out of her Suga EP is her new single, “Savage.” It has become a social media sensation as 19-year-old choreographer, Keara Wilson, created a dance for it. We’ve seen Megan, Keke Palmer, Normani, and also Jessica Alba post videos of themselves dancing to it. Savage has become so successful to the point where the official remix has just dropped and it features fellow Houston artist, Beyoncé.
Social media is feeling this a lot as many view it as one of the best collaborations between Houston artists of all-time. Megan took to Instagram to share her excitement as she explained how this means everything to her as a Houston native. Proceeds from the song will also go to Bread Of Life in Houston to help communities who are affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

On New Year’s Day, we saw Megan post photo booth photos with Beyoncé and from that point, fans were begging for a collab to happen. It’s finally here and with what’s happening in the world, we definitely needed a record as big as this from Megan and Bey. Check it out below.
