Kendrick Lamar is four albums into his career since 2011 and is already regarded as a legend. Many believe what he’s put out three classic albums in a row with ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City,’ ‘To Pimp A Butterfly,’ and ‘DAMN.’ Fans are now awaiting for his fifth album to possibly be released in 2020 as it’s been three years since DAMN dropped.

Right now though, French Montana has a lot to day in regards to believing he’s on another level above Lamar. He recently spoke with Complex regarding his 50 Cent beef and how he would attract bigger crowds than Lamar at festivals.

“I mean, honestly, you could put somebody like Kendrick Lamar next to me on the same stage at a festival. I might outshine him… not because I’m a better rapper or whatever it is. It’s just that I got more hits,” said French Montana. “Kendrick Lamar got albums. He got masterpieces. But if you were to put us on the festival stage I would outshine him because I have more hits than Kendrick Lamar.”

A lot of people definitely disagree with Montana here. He has hits but is nowhere near the realm of greatness & popularity that Lamar is in. So many already believe that Lamar is in the category one of the top 10 best rappers of all-time due to his amazing lyricism and story-telling. He even won a Pulitzer Prize for his DAMN album. As far as hits go, the list is impressive for Lamar. He has “Swimming Pools,” “Money Trees” featuring Jay Rock, “DNA,” “Humble,” “Alright,” and “Poetic Justice” feat. Drake, and “Loyalty” feat. Rihanna.
