Justin Bieber started off 2020 strong as he released his fifth studio album ‘Changes‘ in February. This project was led by the hit singles “Yummy” and “Intentions featuring Quavo. Yummy first went platinum and now, Intentions has done the same today.
Intentions being platinum now makes Bieber become the first artist to have two singles released in 2020 reach this certification, according to Chart Data. Intentions received a lot of attention partly due to the music video. It featured the non-profit organization, Alexandria House,which helps house homeless women and children. Bieber and Quavo even went on to donate $200,000 to them.
Yummy was a huge hit on social media and it’s remix ended up featuring Summer Walker, who is also another superstar in R&B right now. As far as the Changes album as a whole, the anticipation was high as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. On YouTube, he has also done “Changes: The Movement” videos for every song on the project.
