Roddy Ricch was definitely one of the biggest breakout artists of 2019 as he took over near the end with his hit record “The Box.” This appeared on his debut studio album ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial.” Surprisingly though, The Box wasn’t even one of the original singles off of this project. It simply became a fan-favorite.

Two days ago, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial became the first album of 2020 to be certified platinum by the RIAA and The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours‘ became the second hours later. The Box’s momentum isn’t slowing down at all either four months after it’s release.

According to Chart Data, The Box has officially gone 5x platinum. This is after it sold 5 million units. It ended up becoming the No. 1 song in the county shortly after its initial release and as of now, it stands at No. 2. The Weeknd has the top spot with “Blinding Lights.” The Box continues to rise in popularity though so don’t be surprised if it does retake the No. 1 spot again.
