The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Album Officially Certified Platinum Two Weeks After Going Gold

The Weeknd released his fourth studio album ‘After Hours’ on March 20 and it immediately became one of the most successful projects of 2020. It was led by the singles “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights.” As of now, Heartless continues to win big as it’s the No.1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

After Hours went on to be certified gold by the RIAA less than a week into its release. Now, this project is already platinum, according to Chart Data. The Weeknd has since released the deluxe edition which features the tracks “Nothing Compares,” “Missed You” and “Final Lullaby.” Other fan-favorites on After Hours are “Until I Bleed Out” and “Escape From LA.”

The Weeknd’s After Hours Tour is scheduled to take place on June 11 in Vancouver, B.C but it will be interesting to see if it starts on time due to the the current coronavirus pandemic. We are all definitely hoping that concerts return by then. This tour is scheduled to last all the way until November 13 as it concludes in Paris.
