Big Sean has been one of the most dominant artists in the game since the early 2010s as he signed with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label, released four successful studio albums, along with putting out collaborative albums with Jhené Aiko and Metro Boomin. Many also remember his ‘Detroit’ mixtape which was released in the fall of 2012.

Fans have been calling for a sequel and as of today, that wish is becoming a reality. The Detroit rapper took to his Instagram account to post a hype video for the upcoming project which will serve as his fifth studio album. Sean’s IG caption read “Welcome to Detroit 2.” This album is definitely what we need to help all of us get through things emotionally while having to stay at home due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In 2019, Sean made noise with his “Single Again” single which featured Jhené Aiko, who he started dating again after their breakup a few years ago. Hopefully, we get the first single for Detroit 2 soon along with the tracklist. His previous album was ‘I Decided’ in 2017. Check out Big Sean’s announcement for the album below.
