Last night, gun shots went off during Lil Baby’s concert at Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham, AL. Footage surfaced on social media of fans scrambling to leave the venue and unknown of what caused the violence. According to WBRC 6, the cause was an altercation between Baby’s entourage and promoters.
This incident occurred backstage as one person was shot. The Birmingham Police Department said that the shooting took place around 10:02pm local time. The man shot was taken to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No one else at the arena sustained any injuries.
As of now, no suspects have been arrested by Birmingham police. Anyone with any tips regarding the incident are encouraged to contact BPD Investigative Bureau at 205-254-1764 and/or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. Baby has also been making headlines after being rumored to have gotten his goons to beat down Quality Control Music label mate Offset but has since denied any involvement. He continues to win big with his music career though as his new album, ‘My Turn,’ hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart in its first week.
