Boosie Badazz has been receiving criticism over the last few weeks for speaking on Zaya, Dwyane Wade’s transgender daughter. Wade has been very outspoken in support of his child but Boosie posted a video saying not to “cut his d*ck off.”
Boosie’s comments even got him banned from a local Planet Fitness gym in Georgia. He was also accused of calling one of their employees a “f*ggot.” Now, Boosie is speaking on the whole situation. He recently sat down with Baller Alert and revealed that his mother confronted him about it.
“Even my momma got on my ass yesterday. My momma called me early in the morning and got on my ass, talking about, ‘Stay off social media! That’s they family! You stay out people’s business …’ But I was just speaking how I felt. Everybody got their own opinions in life. Everyone feels a certain type of way about certain things … When the kids involved, it’s tender to my heart.”
When the interviewer said that Zaya is Wade’s daughter, Boosie interrupted by saying that’s his son. Regarding the backlash, he added that this is what comes with being a celebrity and if he feels that something is wrong, he’ll speak on it. He knows he’s being ganged up now and that he should’ve “shut his ass up.”
Boosie went on to say that he doesn’t know Wade personally but is a fan of his NBA career as he was known for his tenure with the Miami Heat where he won three championships with them. Boosie seemed unbothered in the end though as he said he’d block comments and that he still gets money. It’s sad that he still hasn’t really learned his lesson regarding his homophobia. It’s good that his mother addressed it with him though. She needs to do the same for Boosie’s son who made homophobic comments saying that he can make Zaya like girls too.
