During the summer of 2006, Chamillionaire took over the game, when his single, “Ridin’,” rose to the top of the charts. What was overlooked was the five months his album was already out. Prior to the release of the album, Cham had another single out and was on NBA Live.

But, “Ridin'” made him a household name, and the labels couldn’t wait for him to deliver more. However, a two year wait on his next album, paired with the album missing the mark left Chamillionare forgotten. In the end, this was the best move for him.

The past few years, Chamillionaire has been spotted attending some of the Golden State Warriors’ games. He revealed most of his work is in Silicon Valley, where he is now a tech mogul. Sitting down with Dame Dash, he discussed his career in music, leaving for tech, revealing that MC Hammer owns a piece of Twitter.
