88,000 People Have Registered For Staples Center Memorial for Kobe and Gigi Bryant

The date has been set for the memorial of the late Kobe Bryant and his second oldest daughter, Gigi Bryant. The memorial will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 24th. Vanessa and the family has been working closely with the Lakers and Staples Center regarding who will speak at the service, and which singers and entertainers will take part.

Details about the memorial and how to attend were released this past Friday. Tickets will be sold to the general public, although there will be reserved tickets for family, friends, players, NBA officials and season ticket holders.

Prices for the remaining seats will reflect the memory of both Gigi and Kobe. Sources close to the planning stated that fans will have to registered to get in line to buy tickets. They’ll have to do it at Ticketmaster, and will have until Monday to do so. The tickets are going for 3 different prices — $224, 2 for $224, the upper deck seats will go for $24.02.

People who register will receive a code Tuesday and on Wednesday at 10 AM the tickets will be released for sale. If the demand exceeds the number of tickets, fans will be selected at random to participate in the sale.

As of right now, there are 88,000 plus people registered to buy a ticket. The Staples center has a capacity of 20,000. With many of those tickets already allotted for family, friends, colleagues, and other NBA official, there’ll most likely be a lottery system comes Wednesday.
