The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets game was a game that displayed playoff intensity. Everybody was caught up in the heat of the battle between the two teams. One fan took it too far though and threw something at the Lakers bench.
The Denver Nuggets have been a part of fan/player interaction that has led to controversy before. Russell Westbrook has had encounters with fans that have come onto the court. The fan was swiftly escorted out of the game and play resumed.
We all learned from the Malace in the Palace how dangerous it is for fans and players to interact during the course of a game. It was good to see that things were handled swiftly. A deeper problem was avoided.
