Billie Eilish Accuses Rappers of Lying What They Rap About In Their Songs Such as Having Women and Owning AK-47s

Billie Eilish is already one of the biggest superstars in the world at only 18-years-old. The pop sensation swept the four major categories at the GRAMMYs last week. She won five in total. Eilish also continues to win big with her “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” album. This project is headlined by the breakout hit single, “Bad Guy.”

Eilish recently spoke to Vogue about her success and a topic was brought up about rappers and the validity of what a lot of them  rap about. She agreed that a lot aren’t telling the truth, especially when it comes to owning guns and having a lot of women.

“Just because the story isn’t real doesn’t mean it can’t be important,” Eilish said. “There’s a difference between lying in a song and writing a story. There are tons of songs where people are just lying. There’s a lot of that in rap right now, from people that I know who rap. It’s like, ‘I got my AK-47, and I’m fuckin’,’ and I’m like, what? You don’t have a gun. ‘And all my bitches…’ I’m like, which bitches? That’s posturing, and that’s not what I’m doing.
Eilish has since received a good amount of backlash on social media for these comments as they point that she needs to address lies in the pop world as well. She wasn’t lying though as a lot of rappers don’t speak the truth in their raps. It is confusing though as to why a topic about hip-hop had to be brought up though.
