Today has been a very tough one for the world of sports as Kobe Bryant tragically passed away at the age of 41 in a helicopter crash. His 13-year-old daughter Gianna and her basketball teammate were also on board. Nine total people were on board.
Bryant’s death has been hitting NBA players hard as many were seen very emotional in their respective arenas. One was Atlanta Hawks superstar point guard, Trae Young. Prior to the Hawks’ 152-133 blowout win over the Wizards, Young wore No. 8 instead of his usual 11 to honor Bryant. He also took an eight-second backcourt violation to start the game, as many other teams did around the NBA.
This were very touching tributes by Young. Prior to his passing, Kobe and Gianna were building a strong relationship with Young. Tonight, he finished with 45 points, 14 assists, and six rebounds. Check out Young from tonight below.
