Last night, LeBron James passed Kobe Bryant for third in the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Bryant congratulated James as he passed the torch to another NBA legend.
Today is now a very horrific day in the sports world as Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas this morning, according to TMZ Sports. Nine total people were killed in the crash as it was on fire. There were no survivors.
Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, was not on board. The NBA star is survived by her and their four daughter’s Gianna, Natalia and Bianca newborn Capri. Bryant was a 5x NBA champion, 2x NBA Finals MVP, 2008 MVP, 18x all-star, 4x all-star game MVP, and 11x All-NBA First Team. He will be missed greatly in the city of Los Angeles and around the world as he played all 20 seasons with the Lakers as well. He retired after the 2015-16 season. This is truly shocking.
