Cedric The Entertainer on this episode of “Power” as a gangster, hardcore killer, is too much and Twitter says they can’t take him seriously, or the show, anymore #PowerTV #WhoShotGhost

On tonight’s “Power” episode, fans will learn Rashad Tate’s (Larenz Tate) story. From his 2017 debut, Councilman Tate has always seemed like a slimy character. However, for Ghost aka James (Omari Hardwick), he was a necessary evil.

When Tasha (Naturi Naughton) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) said that Ghost was changing, people like Tate indicated that. On the night that James St. Patrick was announced as Lorette Walsh’s (Donna Murphy) running mate, Tate encountered him. They had a terrible encounter.

Tonight’s episode saw Tate’s family life, where he was spending time with his brother, played by Jerome from “Moesha.” Here’s fun celebrity trivia, “Moesha’s” Jerome is played by Lahmard Tate, Larenz Tate’s real-life older brother, which he plays, tonight. Other people from Tate’s backstory include Crew (Cedric The Entertainer) and his son, portrayed by Brandon Hall.

Initially angry, Rashad Tate called on Crew and his son, in Washington, DC, to come and kill James. However, by the time they got there, Tate decided to call the hit off. Not having that, Crew said it was either James or Tate, so it was explained why Ghost and Tommy got shot up during their final encounter, and Cedric’s Crew was killed, in the process.

Fans on Twitter, though, couldn’t see past Cedric The Entertainer playing the role of a politician’s “one phone call.” In all of the scenes, they kept seeing the comedian and openly said they couldn’t take him, or the show, seriously, anymore, after seeing him.
