One thing is for sure, Kawhi Leonard plays the game by his own rules. A young NBA superstar, Kawhi is quiet, and lives a non-lavish lifestyle, driving the same 1997 Tahoe he did in high school. Players like him, who come up in the Spurs’ system normally stay, Kawhi left.
The success the Toronto Raptors had in his first season there would normally tempt players to stay, Kawhi wasn’t tempted, and left. Going back to his hometown, LA, LeBron’s Lakers was the obvious choice. In the end, Kawhi signed with the Clippers, and recruited Paul George.
With the Clippers 2-0 over the Lakers, pundits are upset with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for their “load management,” barely playing together. Their loss to the Hawks upset many, as neither superstar played, while the Lakers play hard, every night. But, Kawhi was caught at a strip club on his night off, getting a lap dance, while rocking a New Balance hoodie, making the brand trend.
