R. Kelly is likely set to finally stand trial this year for sex crimes committed over the past three decades. These have been committed in New York, Minnesota, and his hometown of Illinois. He was exposed by Lifetime’s ‘Surviving R. Kelly‘ docuseries which first aired a year ago. He was finally put in prison on these charges in the summer. Part 2 of Surviving R. Kelly was aired this month.
Kelly has supposedly been dealing with health issues while in prison and was supposed to have a court hearing this week. This couldn’t happen though due to having emergency hernia surgery, according to TMZ. Right after this was completed, he was sent right back to MCC Chicago.
Visitors were also supposedly not allowed to see Kelly after the surgery. He’s also been dealing with anxiety and numbness in his hand. Kelly tried to get out of jail last fall by saying that he had issues with his toe but that wasn’t cutting it.
