As of late, Hot 97 has kept a low profile, as the New Year is just beginning. But, they have some dope interviews that should soon be circulating the internet. Over the past six years, Ebro has been the face of the station.
Ebro began as the programming director, where he was very outspoken. This led to him being invited to join as an on-air personality, leading to him stepping down as PD. Since then, Ebro has hosted the morning show with Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez.
However, Ebro receives just as much attention as the morning show, due to his hot takes. On Twitter, Ebro came to the defense of Eminem, who recently released a new album. Comparing his “struggles” in rap to those of black men in America, he drew much ire, when he said Eminem works 5x harder than other rappers.
