Last week, Brooklyn rapper, Pop Smoke, was arrested at JFK airport on a felony charge for illegally transporting a stolen Rolls Royce. This was after he received the luxury car from an owner in Los Angeles back in November. It was supposed to be returned the next day but that never happened. The Rolls Royce was supposed to be used for a music video. It was eventually tracked down in Arizona using GPS.
Smoke is reportedly facing 10 years in prison and him getting bailed out came with a heavy price. According to Complex, the rising star is facing 10 years in prison and his mother put up her house to get him out of bars. Smoke is also reported to be affiliated with the 823 G Stone Crips. The feds have since asked him to not be in contact with any of them.
Smoke is set up to have a huge 2020 music wise so hopefully, he can give his mother way more money after what she did for him. His next hearing will be on February 3. Hopefully, this isn’t the end for him as he had a major 2019 with his breakout single “Welcome To The Party” and his debut mixtape “Meet The Woo.” He also appeared on Travis Scott’s “Gatti” record off of his Cactus Jack album, “Jack Boys” that was released last month.
