DaBaby was one of the biggest breakout artists of 2019 with records such as “Suge,” “Vibez,” and “Bop.” He also released his first two studio albums within the same calendar year with “Baby on Baby” and “Kirk.” He has has also dealt with plenty of legal issues as well though such as letting his security assault fans at his shows. He was also arrested in Miami this month for getting his boys to rob a promoter who came up $10,000 short of a $30,000 tab for a club appearance. A warrant was issued in Dallas too regarding assaulting an airport food stand employee.
Baby ended up being released on $1,500 bond but now, there is more trouble heading the Charlotte rapper’s way. According to TMZ, video has now surfaced on line of Baby assaulting a hotel employee in Los Angeles on December 19. This was after Baby denied the man’s request for a photo.
Shortly after the rejection, Baby and his crew walked back into the lobby and pushed the man against the wall. Surprisingly, no police were called to the scene. It’s unclear at this point though if the hotel worker plans to end up filing charges.
Baby’s attorney, Michael Heiskell, has since released a statement regarding the incident. He believes Baby simply acted in self-defense.
“Any actions taken by DaBaby were likely in self defense based upon his recall of the events and until the video is thoroughly reviewed we have no further comment at this time.”
Baby needs to stay focused. He really does. He’s one of the biggest artists in the world right now and he shouldn’t throw all of his success away because of temper tantrums. What ever happened to rappers showing fans love? Nobody should get slammed to a wall just because they wanted a photo with one of their favorite rappers.
