A few names come to mind, when the world thinks of New Orleans hip hop. But, when the city, itself, names their legends, 5th Ward Weebie is among those at the top of the list. Unfortunately, the entire city is mourning over 5th Ward Weebie.
Through the years, he’s held the streets down, both with his music, and with his actual work in the neighborhoods of the city. It’s one thing for a person to come from a local area and blow up. However, it’s another thing for that person to remain humble and serve their community.
5th Ward Weebie, sadly, is the source of some heartbreaking news, today. Earlier today, 5th Ward Weebie died, reportedly after a blood vessel burst in his chest, so prayers go out to him and his loved ones. In shock, fans on Twitter have come in to pay their respects to the fallen king, who passed at the age of 42.
