It looks like 2020 is starting how 2019 ended and that is unfortunate, but it’s showing just how strong black women are. Right before Thanksgiving, Los Angeles Clippers’ player, Patrick Patterson, got caught in controversy. Some previous comments ended up going viral.
Patrick Patterson’s wedding photos of him with his wife sparked a discussion with a black woman. She basically blasted him for marrying a white woman, saying him being in the NBA is the only reason she married him. In response, Patterson used the word “bulldog.”
Black women took over Twitter and took Patterson to task over him using that word, forcing an apology out of him. Then, yesterday, to begin a New Year, a black man used the word “rottweiler” to describe the looks of Teyana Taylor and Ari Lennox, two sex symbols of this generation, leading to Black women stepping up, again, to defend Teyana and Ari, calling them beautiful, because it looks like the loudest men won’t.
