R. Kelly has been in prison on sex crimes which took place in New York, Minnesota, and his home state of Illinois. These have been happening for decades but he was finally exposed on Lifetime’s ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ docuseries back in January. Season 2 is set to arrive on January 2, 2020. Kelly still hasn’t stood trial for his crimes but it may finally happen sometimes in 2020.
The disgraced singer has also been accused by prosecutors of bribing a public official back in 1994 in order to get a fake ID for Aaliyah for their marriage. At the time, she was 15 and Kelly was 27. According to TMZ, Kelly has plead guilty to this in a federal indictment on bribery charges. This not guilty plea was conducted at the Eastern District of New York.
Kelly hasn’t spoken on Aaliyah much over the years but did have to speak out in denial of this accusation in order to possibly avoid even more prison time than he’s already facing. This bribery issue surrounding Aaliyah should get Kelly busted no matter what considering the fact that she was very underage at the time.
