Breakout Charlotte rapper, DaBaby, has had a hell of a 2019 as he’s flat out dominated. At the top of the year, he released his hit single, ‘Suge,’ which appeared on his debut studio album, ‘Baby on Baby’ this spring. In September, he came through with his second album, ‘Kirk.’ This contained hits such as ‘Vibez’ and the intro.

Baby earned a major record label deal with Interscope Records in January when he first starting seeing success. Another deal has also now been completed as according to Billboard, he signed an exclusive global administration deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.

“A talented artist and songwriter, DaBaby has garnered hundreds of millions of streams and amassed a huge global fanbase,” said UMPG chairman and CEO Jody Gerson in a statement. “With support from myself, our A&R team and Interscope Records, UMPG’s Ari Gelaw [UMPG A&R manager] developed a close relationship with DaBaby and South Coast Music Group to build this exciting partnership. We are looking forward to many great years of success with DaBaby.”

Baby is also satisfied with the deal with UMPG as he said he feels great about his decision and looks forward to working with their team and taking his vision to new heights. Baby has definitely proved to be one of the most consistent artists in the game and is carrying a lot of momentum heading into 2020 for sure.
