The past five years have seen Lena Waithe become a true powerhouse in Hollywood. Her claim to fame is her Showtime series, “The Chi,” which recently had controversy. Early this year, “Boomerang,” her BET series, starring Tequan Richmond, became very popular.
Lena Waithe is the visionary behind Queen & Slim, the controversial new film set to hit theaters, later this month. This movie stars Daniel Kaluuya, of Get Out fame, and Jodie Turner-Smith. If the promos are any indicator, this film has all the makings of a classic.
As always, HIP-HOPVIBE.COM has the hookup for fans who want to catch this movie early. The screening is first come, first serve, as usual, but this time, it’s just Burbank. It all starts at 7:30 PM, on November 21, at AMC Burbank 16.
