As seen on the VH1 hit TV series, ‘T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle‘ (Formerly ‘Family Hustle‘) T.I. has shown that he’s very protective when it comes to his daughters. This was reaffirmed as he made a recent appearance on Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham’s “Ladies Like Us” podcast.
One piece of this discussion was the “sex talk” involving his daughters. One in particular is his 18-year-old, Deyjah. He’s had this discussion with her but is also taking the steps to make sure she hasn’t been sexually active. The Atlanta legend says that he schedules yearly appointments for Deyjah at the gynecologist after her birthday.
Tip said the reason for these is to make sure her hymen is “intact.” He added that this has been a yearly routine ever since Deyjah’s 16th birthday.
“So it’s this one time we go, I think this might have been after her 16th birthday. This is what we do. Right after the birthday we celebrate,” said T.I. “Usually like the day after the party she’s enjoying her gifts. I put a sticky note on the door: ‘Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.’ So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism. He’s like, ‘You know sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you wouldn’t want me to know? See doc? No problem.’
Despite a doctor stating that there are other ways for a hymen to be broken such as horseback riding and other physical activity, T.I. still wanted it checked immediately with him receiving the results “expeditiously.” He also thinks that boys won’t be interested in Deyjah if she’s still a virgin. T.I. has since drawn a lot of backlash from people on social media as they think he’s controlling his daughter’s body. They are pointing to the situation being hypocritical as his sons aren’t policed like this when it comes to their sex lives.
