Former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick has been blackballed by the NFL since 2016 after be peacefully knelt during the national anthem to protest racism and police brutality in America. Yesterday, he turned 32 and spent his day giving back to the community, as he always does.

Kaepernick was in Oakland yesterday all day with his wife, Nessa. They handed out backpacks that contained snacks, socks, air quality masks, shampoo, and more. This was in partnership with his Know Your Rights Camp.

As far as the food, Kaepernick brought out a food truck for the homeless. Salute to him for always being an amazing being and using his position to give back. He deserves to still be on an NFL roster too. You shouldn’t be punished for protesting bigotry.
