Honestly, with this one, we hoped it wasn’t true, but all life must come to an end. Early this morning, John Witherspoon saw his journey, here on Earth, complete. A gifted man, Witherspoon brought joy to many with his comedy routines, and his style of acting.
John Witherspoon was a true blessing on the face of the planet. His inclusion in the Friday series is what helped the original film, and the sequels, build such a cult following. Knowing John Witherspoon is no longer here is a tough pill to take.
Initial reports of John Witherspoon’s death were a little confusing. It is the norm, when a celebrity dies, Wikipedia immediately updates to confirm this, plus there was another John Witherspoon who died, a newscaster. But, DJ Pooh, a producer of Friday, announced John Witherspoon was dead, and Deadline confirmed it, as the tweets continue pouring in, with people saying “RIP Pops.”
John Witherspoon will truly be missed.
