As popular as Kirk Franklin has been, he has never trended on Twitter until today. No, there is nothing wrong with Kirk Franklin, he will continue to dominate gospel. On a day all about Kanye West, he is bringing attention to everyone and everything else.

Kanye West’s new album, Jesus Is King, is different from his previous releases. Surely, people have heard the demands Kanye made of those who helped him create the album. As the fans are hearing the final product, they are less than impressed.

Kirk Franklin, though, back to him, is trending because of Kanye West, because fans are comparing Jesus Is King to his old music. Fans have classified this new album as gospel rap. With that, Kanye West is being written off, as fans have said if they wanted Christian rap, they would get one of his 90s albums.
