We’re seeing the ‘Joker‘ film starring Joakin Phoenix do major numbers at the box office across the globe and fans are looking forward to seeing the villain’s rival in 2021 at the same time as well. The new ‘The Batman‘ movie starring Robert Pattinson as Batman will be out on June 25 of that year and the role of the Catwoman is officially finalized.
According to Variety, Zoë Kravitz will be Catwoman. Other actresses that were in contention for the role were Zazie Beetz, Eiza Gonzalez and Alicia Vikander. Filming is scheduled to take place sometime before the end of 2019 or early 2020. Matt Reeves will be directing the film.
Kravitz has been building momentum for herself leading up to this announcement as she recently starred in the second season of HBO’s ‘Big Little Lies’ and Hulu’s upcoming ‘High Fidelity’ series. In 2018, she also won big by starring in ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse‘ along with ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.”
