Since the second half of the summer, “Godfather of Harlem” has been being promoted, all over the place. The series is set to be the flagship series of the Epix network. A series about the life of Bumpy Johnson, the gangster, Frank Lucas’ mentor, Forest Whitaker is starring.

Forest Whitaker is a film actor, but recently began doing primetime television. He starred in “Empire” for a season, where he faced off with both Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Given his character’s villain role, he was killed off in the season five premiere.

Because of this, Forest Whitaker was free to take on another series in the form of “Godfather of Harlem.” The soundtrack is fire and Whitaker stopped by “The Breakfast Club” to discuss the show. Sitting down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God, he spoke on the show, Malcolm X, and more.
