Prosecutors recently put forward R. Kelly’s marriage to Aaliyah in the ’90s as another piece of evidence that he has sex with underage girls. Kelly was 27 and Aaliyah was 15 at the time. He’s currently battling sex crimes in Illinois, Minnesota, and New York.
Kelly is still in jail with no bond amount in sight. He’s been claiming that he’s been in solitary confinement there as well. Kelly’s also trying to get Michael Jackson’s former attorney, Tom Mesereau, to represent him to help try to beat these cases. The issue is that he doesn’t have the funds to get Meserau’s services. Mesereau helped beat Jackson’s child molestation case.
Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary are two women who have supposedly been held against their will by Kelly over the years but have denied this repeatedly as they continue to come to support him at his court hearings. They are now doing their best to raise money to pay for the Mesereau attorney fees, according to TMZ.
One plan that Savage and Clary have in mind is landing a book deal that will raise the money. They are also contacting media outlets to get paid interviews that will end up going towards paying Mesereau. In addition to these potential moves, the women are trying to land modeling and acting careers but just can’t find management that wants to work with them.
Even if Savage and Clary end up getting the funds for Mesereau’s services for Kelly, it’ll still be hard to beat the charges that he has in all of these states. It seems that these two are really brainwashed. Kelly has been involved with underage girls for three decades and should be in prison for a very long time.
