Rumors of a new Rihanna single titled “Whip It” featuring Megan Thee Stallion have been floating around on social media for the past week due to the song title appearing on the publishing database for the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers. (SESAC). We’ve all been waiting for Rihanna to confirm or deny the highly anticipated collab and now, we finally have answers.
A Rihanna/Fenty fan page DMed Rihanna asking her about the rumored track and she replied by simplifying saying it’s a lie. With Megan’s momentum continuing as one of the biggest breakout artists of 2019, don’t be surprised to see a track with RiRi ending up happening. Megan already got Nicki Minaj on her “Hot Girl Summer” review with Ty Dolla $ign to close out the summer.
Rihanna fans have been waiting for a very long time for new music from her as her last album was “Anti” back in 2016. This rumored collab with Megan would’ve definitely made up for the wait but hopefully we get something from Rih soon, whether it’s a single or album.
