Rick Ross opens up on missing Pusha T verse, “Coming To America 2,” and Drake vs. Kanye West beef on Hot 97 [VIDEO]

Thirteen years ago, Rick Ross signed with Def Jam, during the height of the Jay-Z era. Unproven running a major label, the Rick Ross signing helped solidify Jay-Z as a true exec. His signing, along with the signings of Young Jeezy, Rihanna, and Ne-Yo, helped reinvent the label.

Rick Ross, meanwhile, became an executive in his own right, as he expanded the Maybach Music label. First, he did the Warner Bros. deal, which followed signing Wale and Meek Mill. The roster rounded out, before they moved the label to Atlantic.

Recently, Rick Ross dropped Port of Miami 2, his sequel to his classic debut album. Visiting Hot 97, he spoke with Ebro, Laura Stylez, and Peter Rosenberg. He discussed the Lil Wayne/Pusha T collaboration that never happened, Coming To America 2, and the Drake/Kanye beef.
