Shockingly, Aaliyah died eighteen years ago, and the music world has been trying to deal with it, ever since. Posthumously, some have tried to create a fan war with Beyonce, but Aaliyah was Aaliyah, plain and simple. When she died, the whole world mourned her loss.

Aaliyah had fully come into her own and she was redefining music, establishing herself as a legend. The world was sad when she died and many new artists, both male and female, are clearly influenced by her, still. Now, Aaliyah is being honored, immortalized in wax.

Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas is preparing to unveil a wax figure in the memory of Aaliyah. The news was announced by Rashad Haughton, her older brother. This figure will be unveiled later this month, close to the anniversary of her death, in 2001.
