Where to even begin with this one? In today’s edition of bizarre news, there is a woman named Sarah Byrne, who was in the process of divorcing her husband. Inheriting over one million pounds from her father’s company, she didn’t want her husband, Tony, to get any money.
Because of this, Sarah enlisted the help of Stephen Howie, her friend. A good friend to Sarah, he suggested she deposit a sum of that money into his account. Of course, that’s a great idea, and nothing can go wrong, right? (sarcasm).
Sarah would go on a holiday vacation with Tony, which is where those feelings resurfaced. This led to Sarah and Tony getting back together, meaning Sarah wanted her money back. Well, something did go wrong, as Stephen Howie refused to return the money, instead telling Sarah it was an “investment.”
