Over the past five years, Instagram has risen to become the most-popular social network, among young people. A couple of years ago, it looked like Snapchat would overtake them. But, Instagram managed to adapt, offering many of the same features as Snapchat.

Hip hop helped elevate Instagram to new levels, using the likes and views as a business, within itself. Definitely, the blogs that switched over to Instagram have won off this. Is it a coincidence that Instagram has been pondering getting rid of likes and views?

Now, it looks like Instagram is going forward with the removal of likes and views on posts. The practice has began already in a few nations, including Japan and Australia. Viewing the tests as a success, Instagram says they look forward to officially making the switch, as Twitter just did.
