Colin Kaepernick has white people mad at him AGAIN.
He reportedly got Nike to scrap its release of the Betsy Ross Air Max 1 sneakers, due to the flag’s ties to racism.
It didn’t take long for white people to express their anger on social media and call for a boycott of Nike altogether. Senator Ted Cruz tweeted:
“Yep, I own lots of @Nike I’ve been a life-long customer, since I was kid. But they’ve now decided their shoes represent snide disdain for the American flag. Since they don’t want my business anymore, I won’t buy any more. Can anyone recommend a good sneaker co that’s not so woke?”
Do people not realize that this particular flag that they are crying over has been appropriated by white nationalists and the KKK? This flag flew at a time in this country where slavery was still taking place. Kaepernick did the right thing by getting Nike to not release these shoes. I’m sure NIke won’t miss anyone who decides to boycott.
