HHV Exclusive: Omari Hardwick talks “Power” final season, potential prequel, 50 Cent’s influence, and being versatile

Nothing lasts forever, but “Power” coming to an end does definitely sting a bit. But, when the show wraps, it will have had a six year run, lasting from 2014 through 2020. Most premium shows never last this long and Omari Hardwick became a star, along the way.

Omari Hardwick is like most entertainers, a man who gets in where he fits in. By 2013, he was on the radar, when he was playing opposite movie star, Gabrielle Union, on “Being Mary Jane.” That opened the door to “Power,” where he played the lead.

At the American Black Film Festival, Omari Hardwick took the time out to speak with Hip-HopVibe.com. In this exclusive interview, Hardwick speaks on the ending of “Power,” and the potential new beginning. This led to a discussion about 50 Cent and the influence he has had, before he spoke on his other talents.
