Artists should always make sure they own their masters because not doing so can hurt their careers in many ways. Justin Bieber recently posted photos of notes from Taylor Swift which show her reacting to Bieber’s manager buying her masters. His caption was “Taylor Swift what up.”
Swift said that she’s suffered manipulative bullying from Braun over the years. Braun was handling her masters so this was no surprise to her. But she was shocked after she found out that he ended up buying them.
As far as Bieber goes, he’s now apologizing for reposting the messages with that insensitive caption. He realized that it was hurtful and distasteful as well. He made the excuse that someone wanted him to use that joke in the caption after Kanye West and Braun said that in a photo before. He even thought that Braun has always had Swift’s back.
Bieber felt like Swift was trying to get people to hate on Scooter with the post about her masters being bought. He said in the end though, he and Braun both love Swift. Bieber also thinks he and Braun want the best for Swift. At the same time though, Bieber believes Swift is defacing Braun.
I think Bieber is wrong here. Swift didn’t want her masters bought by Braun and feels that she hasn’t been treated right by him over the years. Check out Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift’s posts about the situation below.
