Balt Getty Drops New Single “Wack”

Balt Getty returns with the release of his hypnotic new single “Wack,” featuring hip-hop artist 3XDOSE.

Stream the track here.

Following the releases of his previous luxury anthems, “Money” and “Retail Therapy,” “Wack” stays on trend with designer-heavy lyrics layered over a catchy, rhythmic beat. Balt’s ultimate goal with his music is to produce light-hearted dance tracks that make people want to temporarily forget their troubles.

“It’s a club banger in that West Coast bounce vein, something to boogie to feat. my guy Tripledose (aka 3XDOSE),” shares Getty on the track. “It’s a hip-hop track. Although we think most these dudes look WACK, for the creative I thought it would be funny to use BALT GETTY is WACK in a self-deprecating way. Music should be fun.”

This sentiment has been a continual thread throughout Balt’s life, reflected in his commitment to a variety of philanthropic efforts including, The Lunchbox Fund, GiveLove.org, Big U’s Developing Options program, and his family’s joint upstart, The Getty Foundation.

Wack” is just one in a series of creative projects that Balt is working on this year. Balt also celebrated the successful launch of his first retail store and menswear collection, MONK PUNK, on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, CA yesterday. VIP guests included David Arquette, Soleil Moonfrye, Rebecca Gayheart, Rosetta Getty and more. The MONK PUNK collection is Balt’s passion project that has been two years in the making. Made entirely in LA, the collection is inspired by Balt’s hip-hop music and art and features styles that incorporate his personal drawings. ABOUT BALT GETTY:

An award-winning actor, producer, designer and philanthropist, Balthazar Getty began his career as a child actor starring in the film adaptation of the Nobel Prize winning novel Lord Of The Flies, and was later drawn into music via the Los Angeles hip-hop scene where he DJ’ed alongside the Beastie Boys and inked a deal with Interscope Records.

In recent years, the modern renaissance man has continued to pursue his passions, whether it be appearing in David Lynch’s highly anticipated revival of Twin Peaks or collaborating with Method Man, Prodigy, and Latin Grammy winning artist Asdru Sierra for his PurpleHaus art collective. Getty’s love for fashion and design has always been there and using Purplehaus as a platform, he intends to release the high-end conceptual ready-to-wear, Monk Punk. In his spare time, he’s also become an industry staple for DJ’ing exclusive nightclubs, parties and fashion events worldwide.
