When Kanye West made “Jesus Walks,” he opened the song with the statement “We At War.” That iconic opening, as people know, detailed the actual wars of the time, the cultural wars, and the wars people have within themselves. The past fifteen years have seen each play out.

But, abroad, it is easy to forget that these people have been fighting, nonstop, for centuries. The nation of Sudan is ground zero of yet another massacre. So much is going on, there, but no one has talked about it, until now.

Rihanna recently broke her silence on the #SUDANMASSACRE, using her platform to shed light on matters. The massacre in Sudan has impacted over 2,800 people, with too many murdered, hundreds more injured, and then both men and women being raped. Among the victims is a six year old little boy.
