In 2002, Nas released his “The Lost Tapes” album which featured a compilation of unreleased tracks from his ” I Am…” and “Stillmatic”  albums. Fast forward 19 years later, we are about to get the sequel.

Nas took to Instagram to announce that The Lost Tapes 2 would be on the way. The video posted featured him holding a cassette tape with his name and “The Lost Tapes II” on it. No release date or tracklist has been revealed yet but expect it to be out sometime this summer. Last summer, he released his 11th studio album “Nasir” which featured The Dream, Kanye West, Puff Daddy, 070 Shake, and Tony Williams.

Nas will forever be regarded as a legend in hip-hop and The Lost Tapes 2 should continue to showcase his lyricism at its best. Check out the announcement for the new album below.
