It was definitely a scary moment for the emerging Finals superstar Fred VanVleet when he went down after receiving a hard elbow from Shaun Livingston.

Commentators were quick to point out that the elbow wasn’t dirty or intentional, citing Livingston’s reputation as a respected veteran who’s never been known for dirty plays. It sincerely looked like it was an unintentional play involving two players playing hard and going for the ball.

ESPN’s Doris Burke did report that VanVleet didnt sustain any concussion and was set to return to the game.
