The Golden State Warriors were considered, by some, to be DOA, after losing Game 1. To many, the Raptors’ dominating Game 1 win was proof the Warriors couldn’t win the title, without Kevin Durant. This is in spite of the Warriors nearly winning two titles without him.
But, the Toronto Raptors are a different kind of foe for the Warriors. The things Kawhi Leonard can do are not the things LeBron James does. In the time before the Warriors were viewed as a threat, Kawhi made himself a star by giving LeBron fits, back in the 2014 Finals.
Tonight, Kawhi Leonard has been an afterthought, as Klay Thompson kept the Warriors going, until Steph got hot. He is hurt and out, now, but it was Klay that laid the groundwork for the Warriors late game, double digit lead. The third quarter Warriors are trending on Twitter, well into the fourth, for good reason.
